For young people, ages 7-12, this special offer is an ongoing one-on-one storytelling program aimed at students who are passionate about language and prepared to learn from master storytellers to craft their language. Often the best writers pay closest attention to the rhythm of their language. In these sessions we will read a book together. Merging auditory learning with creative and comprehensive writing assignments, young writers will become familiar with one story, and by extension, to learn how the author uses language, story structure, and character. Simply: We will read a book, and I will provide specific lessons that focus on the child’s needs or interests.

Whether a student is interested in writing creatively for the rest of their life or is struggle with comprehension, this intensive approach is a fun and engaging way for students to become familiar with the prose and structure of story.

This program really runs for however long the book we’re reading goes. But we could say between 10 and 20 hour long sessions
